IPAF Access Platform Operators Course (e-learning)
Course Overview
This course allows candidates to complete the theory study part of the IPAF course via e-learning. Candidates will not have to attend the theory classroom for the purpose of training, but will then attend a training centre to complete the written test and practical training. Candidates can complete the e-learning in a period of 45 days before attending for the test and practical training. When booking this course candidates will be issued with log-in details to complete the e-learning modules.
The course is suitable for anyone who operates any type of Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP), such as scissor lifts, boom lifts, or trailer mounted or vehicle mounted boom lifts, should take this course to comply with the duties placed upon employers and employees by law. The International Powered Access Federation licence is recognised all over the world, and can be endorsed with different categories of MEWP.
Course Content:
This course is the course approved by IPAF, who are the main international body governing access platform operations. Topics covered include:
• Employer’s and employee’s legal responsibilities
• Different categories of MEWPs
• Main structural parts of MEWPs
• Pre-use inspections
• Testing and inspection
• Safe operating methods
• Practical training
Candidates will take a written test, and following practical training also take a practical assessment. Successful candidates will receive a certificate issued by IPAF and a photo I.D. IPAF licence showing the category or categories of MEWP on which they have been trained. The licence is internationally accepted. £245.00 plus VAT per person for access to e-learning modules and the half day assessment.
