New Roads & Streetworks Refresher Course (NRSWA)

Course Overview

This course is a refresher course for operatives and supervisors carrying out excavations and other work on the public highway whose Streetworks qualification require renewing. It consists of refresher training and assessments.

Course Content:
Location & avoidance of underground services
Signing, lighting & guarding
Excavation in the highway
Reinstatement & compaction of backfill materials
Reinstatement of non-bituminous sub-base & road-base materials
Laying practices and reinstatement of cold lay bituminous materials
Reinstatement of modular surfaces & concrete footways
